Overview

Introduce the thousands place.,10,000 as 9999+1 and extend the idea to introduce one lakh, ten lakh and one crore. Express these large numbers in terms of smaller powers of 10 (e. g. 1 lakh = 100 x thousand) Name large numbers in the Indian system( using an expanded form) and using commas. Identify the place value of a million by relating it to lakhs and crores in the Indian system. Explain the place of commas in the International numeration system. Name and write numbers in the international system.
