Numerical Problems on distance and displacement

Distance and Displacement: Distance refers to "how much ground an object has covered" during its motion while Displacement refers to how far out of place an object is. Distance is  a Scalar quantity whereas Displacement is a Vector quantity. Let's suppose a particle is constrained to move on a straight line path. It returns to the starting point A after going farther 10m from the starting point. In this particular case Displacement of the particle is zero whereas Distance traveled is 20 m.
