Treatment of Rabies

Rabies is a fatal viral disease. Dogs, cat, bats, jackals, foxes, wolves etc. can carry the rabies virus. If a person is bitten by these animals, the virus is transmitted in their body. Vaccine should be immediately administered in the body of the bitten person. The vaccine develops antibodies before the virus becomes active. The vaccine was developed by Louis Pastuer. Earlier 14 doses (through injection) were given to the patient but now six doses are administered.
