Difference between health and disease free

  • Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being of an individual. Health is often affected by diseases. Health of an individual deteriorates with variations in physiological and biological aspects of the body.
  • Health depends upon the diet, age, mental peace, type of work etc. Healthy person can be free of diseases.
  • Disease free is a condition where the person is devoid of diseases.
  • Disease free does not refer to a parson being healthy. It only states that the person is free of diseases. Body may function efficiently but mental and social well being need not be present.


Significance of health

  • Health is the state of being well enough to function well physically, mentally and socially.
  • Health of an individual depends upon their surroundings.


Infectious and noninfectious disease

  • Infectious disease can be transferred from patient to the healthy person. They are caused by a pathogen. They spread through agencies like air, water, contact etc.
  • Non infectious disease cannot but transferred from patient to a healthy person.
