A normal person’s eyeball is shaped like normal ball
But In Astigmatism, the eye is not completely round.
It is natural or by birth and sometime it occurs due to surgery, eye injury.

Symptoms of Astigmatism
The people who are suffering from this problem cannot able to see the near and the far distant object .
And they also face continuous squinting of eye, headache and eye strain.
It can be detected using the same tools which are used to detect myopia and hypermetropia.
But it is different from other eye diseases like Myopia and hypermetropia.
Nearsightedness, or myopia, is a vision condition in which people can see nearby objects normal, but can not see distant objects clearly.
And hypermetropia is a common eye condition in which nearby objects appear blurred but can see distant objects clearly.
But astigmatism may occur along with either myopia or hypermetropia.

Treatment for astigmatism
It can be corrected with eyeglass or spectacles, contact lenses, laser, and other refractive surgery.
Eyeglasses are the simplest and safest method to correct astigmatism. People having Astigmatisma can choose eyeglasses or spectacles to improve vision.
But some people don’t like eyeglass, they prefer contact lens for better vision.
If people have a severe case of astigmatism then the doctor may recommend laser or refractive surgery.
In this procedure, surgery is done using a laser or small knives to reshape your cornea.
