Question

What is the weight (or force of gravity) of a body(mass m) at the centre of earth ?
  1. mg
  2. m/g
  3. g
  4. 0

A
m/g
B
g
C
mg
D
0
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Weight is defined as force acting due to the gravity that is F=m×g.As we all know that g=0 at the centre of the gravity on substituting this we get F=0 that is weight of the body at the centre of the gravity is zero.
