The gastric glands are present in different regions of the stomach, called as the fundic glands, pyloric glands and the cardiac glands. Cardiac glands are present in the stomach and are near to the heart. They are very less in number and are positioned in mucosa.
Pyloric glands are the gastric glands of the stomach that secrets the gastrin
peptic cells are the chief gastric cells that secrets pepsinogen and gastric lipase.
Intrinsic factor also called as gastric intrinsic factor that is secreted by the parietal cells present in the stomach. This factor is necessary for absorption of vitamin B12.
