Question

Slope =4 and y-intercept =2, then the equation of line is mx+y=c. Find m+c.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

The equation of any straight line can be written as y=mx+c, where m is its slope and c is its y - intercept.
Hence, the equation of the line with
slope =4 and y - intercept =2 is y=4x+2 or 4x+y=2.
comparing with given eq. mx+y=c, we get m=4,c=2
