State whether true or false:
In the sentence given below, we must put a hyphen between extremely and intelligent in order for it to make complete sense.

She is an extremely intelligent girl.

A

True

B

False

Answer

Compound adjectives are those adjectives when two or more words are joined together to form an adjective and joined with a hyphen. E.g. 6-days, old-book etc. In the given sentence, extremely and intelligent doesn't require hyphen as sentence makes sense without it. Thus, option B is the correct answer.
