  1. Hh=2
  2. Hh=3
  3. Hh=4
  4. Hh=5

A
Hh=3
B
Hh=5
C
Hh=4
D
Hh=2
Solution
Verified by Toppr

When car rolls down the inclined plane from height H, then velocity acquired by it at the lowest point is
v2=u2+2gH
where, u=0
v=2gH.......(1)
Velocity at the lowest point should be v=5gr...........(2)
Thus from equation 1 and 2
v=2gH=5gr
therefore H=5r2..........(3)
from figure-
H=h+2r
r=Hh2
substituting the value of equation 3 we will get
H=52[Hh2]
Hh=5.

In a model experiment as shown in the figure there is a fixed inclined plane.
A thin ring of radius ‘r’ is rolling upwards along the incline without slipping at a velocity v0 from the bottom. In three different cases of the experiment, everything is kept same except the coefficient of friction of the inclined surface. It is changed as μ=0, μ=tan θ & μ=2 tan θ respectively. In each case the height to which the ring rises on the incline before stopping momentarily is Δh1,Δh2,Δh3 respectively. Then
