  1. 0.11V
  2. 1.1V
  3. 11V
  4. none

A
11V
B
none
C
0.11V
D
1.1V
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Let the velocity of electron is v , so when there is no deflection
evB=eEev×2×103=e×2×103
v=106 , distance to screen to 20 cm or 0.2m
so time taken to strike the screen t= 0.2106sec
let the electric field on y plate be E
so acceleration on electron a=eEme
now using S=at2/2, S= 2cm
we get E=5.68V/m
V=.02×5.68=0.11V
So, the answer is option (A).
