Autotrophs are the organism which has the ability to synthesize their own food from the inorganic raw material. It is of two types.
Photoautotrophs which use the energy of light to synthesize organic compounds e.g., green plants.
Chemoautotrophs which derive energy from chemical reactions to synthesize organic compounds e.g., sulphur bacteria.
