If the temperature of the air is measured by the ordinary thermometer it is called dry bulb temperature. In the wet bulb the thermometer is covered by the wet cloth. When the air comes in contact with the wet cloth it absorbs moisture and gives up some heat so the temperature is reduced.so, if the moisture is less it will show lower temperature.
