Raahil has a certain number of chocolates; he gave 13 of the chocolates to his brother and 16 of them to his friend. He was left with 30 chocolates. How many chocolates did he has ?
Let Raahil have 'x' number of chocolates
Chocolates given to his brother =x3
Chocolates given to his friend =x6
Chocolates left =30
Then
x−x3−x6=30
6x−2x−x6=30
⇒3x=30×6
[x=60]
∴ Raahil have 60 chocolates earlier.
