We know that increased wind speed is, indeed, accompanied by reduced air pressure. As the wind speed is higher outside the house the air pressure would be lesser outside. In such cases, there is a risk of the roof getting blown away, if not constructed properly. That's why it's advisable not to close all the windows of a house with poorly constructed roofs, during a storm.
