Question

A cloth having an area of 165 m2 is shaped into the form of a conical tent of radius 5 m. Find the volume of the cone.
  1. 241.74 m2
  2. 240 m2
  3. 260 m2
  4. 250.48 m2

A
260 m2
B
241.74 m2
C
240 m2
D
250.48 m2
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Curved surface area of cone =165 m2
πrl=165
227×5×l=165
l=10.5 m

And h=l2r2
h=10.5252
h=9.23 m

Thus Volume of the cone = V=13πr2h
V=13π×52×9.23=241.74 m2
