A compound X is formed by the reaction of carboxlic acid $${ C }_{ 2 }{ H }_{ 4 }{ O }_{ 2 }$$ and alcohol in presence of few drops of sulphuric acid. The alcohol on oxidation with Alkaline potasium permagnate followed by acidification gives same carboxlic acid as used in this Rxn give the name & structure of carboxlic acid , Alcohol & compound X also write down the Rxn
