Question

A die has two faces each with number '1', three faces each with number '2' and one face with number '3'. If die is rolled once determine
(i) P(2) (ii) P(1 or 3) (iii) P(not 3)

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Total number of faces =6
(i) Number faces with number 2=3
P(2)=36=12

(ii) P(1or3)=P(not2)=1P(2)
P(1or3)=112=12

(iii) Number of faces with number 3=1
P(3)=16
Thus, P(not3)=1P(3)=116=56

There are two die A and B both having six faces. Die A has three faces marked with 1, two faces marked with 2, and one face marked with 3. Die B has one face marked with 1, two faces marked with 2, and three faces marked with 3. Both dices are thrown randomly once.
