  1. Soil sample having high amount of X than Y and Z is best suited for maize cultivation
  2. Soil sample having almost same amount of Y and Z and comparatively much less amount of X has highest percolation rate and water absorbing capacity
  3. Soil containing more amount of Z and very little X and Y is prominent in areas where Kangaroo rat and Acacia are commonly found
  4. The space between particles is very large in X however particles are small sized and compactly arranged in Y and Z

A
The space between particles is very large in X however particles are small sized and compactly arranged in Y and Z
B
Soil containing more amount of Z and very little X and Y is prominent in areas where Kangaroo rat and Acacia are commonly found
C
Soil sample having high amount of X than Y and Z is best suited for maize cultivation
D
Soil sample having almost same amount of Y and Z and comparatively much less amount of X has highest percolation rate and water absorbing capacity

In given figure, X shows clay, Y is slit and Z is sand. Soil sample having high amount of X has small sized compactly arranged particles, which hold large amount of water and it is not good for growing plants as water logging damage the crops. Soil having more Y and Z, than X have poor water absorbing capacity. Soil rich in large sized sand particles Z is found in deserts. Soil Z has large sand particles and space is filled with air.

A mixture contains three different substances, X,Y and Z. They are of the same size, cubical in shape and yellow in colour.
X particles are heavy, insoluble in water, non-magnetic and contribute 50% of the mixture.
Y particles are very light, insoluble in water, non-magnetic and contribute 40% of the mixture.
Z particles are iron pieces.
Which of the following methods can separate X,Y and Z?
