Let x be the money he originally had.
The money he gave to his children = x×40100=0.4x
The money he gave to trust = (x−0.4x)×20100=0.12x
The money he left with = x−0.4x−0.12x=0.48x
0.48x=9600
x=96000.48=Rs.20,000
∴ He is left with Rs.20,000. [C]
