Cissus quadrangular is a vine that grows in Africa. It is also found in some parts of Asia. All parts of the plant are used for medicine. It has been used for bone fractures, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, loss of appetite (anorexia), weak bones (osteoporosis), scurvy, cancer, upset stomach, hemorrhoids, peptic ulcer disease (PUD), etc. It has antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties, by which it works.
