Solution
Verified by Toppr

The correct option is C 34,000
let x be his total sales

he gets 5.5% of his total sales amount

and bonus 0.5% on sales above 10000

i.e 0.5% on (x10000)

given that he earns 1990

5.5100×x+0.5100(x10000)=1990

5.5×x100+0.5×x1000.5×10000100=1990

6x=199000+5000

x=34000=total sales
