Question

A signal of 5kHz frequency is amplitude modulated on a carrier wave of frequency 2MHz. What are the frequencies of the side bands produced?

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given - fm=5kHz,fc=2MHz=2000kHz
Now frequency of upper side band ,
fc+fm=2000+5=2005kHz
frequency of lower side band ,
fcfm=20005=1995kHz
