Question

A solid metallic sphere of radius 10.5 cm is melted and recast into a number of smaller cones, of each of radius 3.5 cm and height 3 cm. Find the number o cone of formed.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

solid sphere radius =10.5cm
cone radius =3.5cm
cone height =3cm

volume of sphere =no.ofcone×volumeofeachcone

43πr3=n×13πR2.h

4×(10.5)3=n×(3.5)2×3

n=4×(10.5)3(3.5)2×3

n=126

no. of cone is 126
