Solution
Verified by Toppr

Let original price ( Cost price ) of watch be x Rs

Then Original price of wall clock =390x Rs

Trader earns profit of 10% on watch.

SP of watch=CP of watch+Profit

SP1=x+10% of x=11x10

Also, trader earns profit of % on wall clock.

SP of wall clock=CP of wall clock+Profit

SP2=(390x)+15% of (390x)

SP2=(390x)+(58.53x20)

Total Selling Price(SP)=SP1+SP2

=11x10+390x+58.53x20

=448.5x20

It is given that trader earns a profit of 51.50 Rs

SPCP=51.50

(448.5x20)390=51.50

58.5x20=51.50

x20=7

x=20×7=140

It means original price of watch =x=140 Rs and original price of wall clock =390x=390140=250 Rs

So, Difference in price =250140=110 Rs
