a) Endemism is the condition in which the species of the organism is found specific in certain specific regions. For example, the species of lemurs are found isolated in certain regions of Madagascar.
b) The evil quartet is the concept which describes the reasons which cause a decrease in the number of species. There is a loss of biodiversity due to main four reasons which were known as the four horsemen. The reasons are overexploitation, loss of habitat, the introduction of the exotic species and the extinction of species continuously. These reasons were studied by the researchers and were put forward as the main reasons for the future extinction of the species.
