Agro-based industries are those industries which obtain raw-material from agriculture. Cotton textile, jute textile, sugar, vegetable oil etc are representative industries of an agro-based group of industry. Agro-based industries are comparatively easy to establish. These industries are found in rural areas as small-scale industries and at the same time, they can be the large-scale industry in urban areas.
