Akbar had an interest in the religion and social customs of different people, because of which at Fatehpur Sikri during the 1570s, he started discussions on religion with the scholars of various religions like ulama, Brahmanas, Jesuit priests who were Roman Catholics, and Zoroastrians. These discussions took place in the ibadat khana.
Panch Mahal at Fatehpur Sikri used to be a place for entertainment.

Buland Darwaza at Fatehpur Sikri is the main gate, was built to commemorate the victory over Gujrat.
