Question
Assertion

Among a scalene, isosceles and equilateral triangle, the equilateral triangle have maximum lines of symmetry.

Reason

For all the given polygons, having the same number of sides and the same number of angles, the regular polygon has maximum lines of symmetry.

A

Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion

B

Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion

Correct option is
A

Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion

Scalene triangle has O line of symmetry. isosceles triangle has 1 line of symmetry. An equilateral triangle has 3 line of symmetry.
$$\therefore $$ The equilateral triangle has maximum lines of symmetry.
Also, for all the given polygons, having same number of sides and same number of angles, the regular polygon has maximum lines of symmetry.
So, the option A is correct i.e. Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion.
