Question

An ice cream cone has radius of 21 m and height of 20 m. Find total surface area of the cone.
  1. 3297 m2
  2. 9734 cm2
  3. 3297 mm
  4. 3297 m

A
3297 m
B
3297 m2
C
9734 cm2
D
3297 mm
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given, radius r=21m and height h=20m.

Then, slant height is:
s2=h2+r2
s2=202+212
s2=400+441
s=841
s=29 m.

Therefore, Total surface area of a cone =πrs+πr2
=3.14×21×29+3.14×21×21
=1912.26+1384.74
=3297m2.

Hence, option A is correct.
