An object is placed 20 cm in front of a plano convex lens of focal length 15 cm. The plane surface of the lens is silvered. The image will be formed at a distance
60 cm to the left of the lens
60 cm to the right of the lens
12 cm to the left of the lens
12 cm to the right of the lens.

consider the arrangement to be of combination of plano convex lens and plane mirror .the light ray from the object strikes the plano convex lens and let the distance of first image be at v1
this image serves as virtual object for the mirror and a real image is formed at a distance 60cm to the left of mirror and intrn this serves as virtual object for the plano convex lens
i.e. final image is formed to the left of lens at a distance 12cm , hence option C is correct

A plano-convex lens of focal length 20 cm has its plane side silvered:
A plano – convex lens of refractive index 1.5 and radius of curvature 30cm is silvered at the curved surface. Now this lens is used to form the image of an object. At what distance from this lens, an object be placed in order to have a real image of the size of the object?
Focal length of the plano - convex lens is 15 cm. A small object is placed at A as shown in the figure. The plane surface is silvered. The image will form at
For an object placed at a distance 20 cm in front of a convex lens, the image is at a distance 20 cm behind the lens. The focal length of convex lens is :
(a) 20 cm (b) 10 cm (c) 15 cm (d) 40 cm
Flat surface of a plano-convex lens of focal length 20 cm is silvered. If object is placed at 60 cm from lens then distance of image from lens is
