Question

An object starting from rest travels with a uniform acceleration of $$ 5 m/s^2 $$.Calculate the velocity and distance traveled after $$ 1$$ minute?

Solution
Verified by Toppr

$$ v=u+at $$
$$ u=0 $$
=$$ 0+ 5m/s^2\times 60s $$
$$ a= 5m/s^2 $$
=$$ 0+300 m/s $$

$$ t=1\ min $$
So, $$ t=60 sec $$
=$$ 300 m/s $$

$$ s= ut +1/2 at^2 $$
=$$ 0 \times 60 + 1/2 \times 5 \times 60^2$$
=$$ 9000 m $$
