Verified by Toppr

Bentham and Hooker classified dicots into Polypetalae, gamopetale and monochlamydae. They actually followed de Candolle's system of classification and divided spermaphyta into dicotyledons, gymnospermae and monocotyledons. Dicots were grouped as -(i) polypetalae, gamopetalae and monochlamydae (unisexual flowers). Polypetalae were divided into three series thalamiflorae (hypogynous flowers), disciflorae (cushion like disc shaped thalamus) and calyciflorae (epigynous flowers).
So, the correct answer is option B.
