Question

Calculate the area of triangle using the square grid, if each square has side of 1 cm

A
Approximately 10 sq.cm
B
Approximately 4 sq.cm
C
Approximately 6 sq.cm
D
None of the above
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Correct option is A. Approximately 6 sq.cm
As we can see the figure occupies,
3 complete squares, 3 more than half squares and 63 less-than half-squares

To get the area approximately, we can neglect the less than half squares and take more than-half squares as of full area

So area$$=(3 \times 1)+(3 \times 1)=6 \ sq. \ cms$$ (approx.)
