  1. 106.6 g
  2. 93.6 g
  3. 25.6 g
  4. 72.4 g

A
93.6 g
B
106.6 g
C
25.6 g
D
72.4 g
Solution
Verified by Toppr

The correct option is C 93.6 g
Let the weight of methane (CH4) be Wgm.
Molecular mass of methane (CH4)=16
Volume, (V)=9L
Temperature, (T)=27=(273+27)K=300K
Pressure, (P)=16 atm
No. of moles, (n)=wt.Mol. wt.=W16
R=0.082Latmmol1K1
Aplying ideal gas equation, we have
PV=nRT
16×9=W16×0.082×300
W16=14424.6
W=16×5.85
W=93.6g
Hence, the weight of methne is 93.6 g.
