Magnetic line of forces are closed continuous curves which start from the north pole and end at the south pole of the magnet. A tangent at any point on the magnetic line of forces gives the direction of the magnetic field at that point. Thus no two magnetic field lines intersect with each other as it would give two different directions of magnetic field at that point which is impossible. Also magnetic line of forces are nearer to each other where the magnetic field is strong and vice-versa.
