$$ \dfrac{9}{-16} + \dfrac{-5}{-12} $$
It can be written as
$$ = \dfrac{9}{-16} + \dfrac{5}{12} $$
Here LCM of $$16$$ and $$12$$ is $$48$$
So we get
$$ = \dfrac{9 \times 3}{-16 \times 3} + \dfrac{5 \times 4}{12 \times 4} $$
By further calculation
$$ = \dfrac{-27 + 20}{48} $$
$$ = \dfrac{-7}{48} $$
