Open in App
Solution
Verified by Toppr
In the fraction $$\dfrac25$$ the numerator is equal to $$2$$ and we want that numerator to be equal to $$-56.$$
Let we will have to multiply $$x$$ in the numerator and the denominator of the fraction $$\dfrac25$$ to make numerator equal to $$-56.$$ So,
$$2\times x = -56$$
$$\Rightarrow x=-28$$
Hence,
$$\begin{aligned}{}\frac{2}{5} &= \frac{{2 \times - 28}}{{5 \times - 28}}\\ \\&= \frac{{ - 56}}{{ - 140}}\end{aligned}$$
