Question

Find the area of rhombus if its vertices are (3,0),(4,5),(1,4) and (2,1) taken in order.
[Hint: Area of rhombus =12× product of its diagonals.]

Solution
Verified by Toppr

We know that,
Area of Rhombus =12 (Product of its diagonals)

Given co-ordinates of rhombus are (3,0),(4,5),(1,4) and (2,1)

Diagonal 1=(3+1)2+(04)2=42
Diagonal 2=(4+2)2+(5+1)2=62

Area of rhombus =12(42×62)
=24 unit2
