Question

Find the derivative of the following functions (it is to be understood that a,b,c,d,p,q,r and s are fixed non-zero constants and m and n are integers) : (px+q)(rx+s)

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Let f(x)=(px+q)(rx+s)
Thus using product rule
f(x)=(px+q)(rx+s)+(rx+s)(px+q)
=(px+q)(rx1+s)+(rx+s)(P)
=(px+q)(rx2)+(rx+s)p
=(px+q)(rx2)+(rx+s)p
=prxqrx2+prx+ps=psqrx2
