$$\dfrac{-4}{13} - \dfrac{(-3)}{26} = \dfrac{-4}{13} + \dfrac{3}{26} = \dfrac{-4\times 2 + 3}{26} = \dfrac{-8+3}{26} = \dfrac{-5}{26}$$
