$$\dfrac{8}{\square}=\dfrac{3.2}{4}$$

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Ratios that are equal are called equivalent ratios and are said to be in proportion.
To find an equivalent ratio, we multiply or divide both the numerator and denominator by a same number.
$$\dfrac{8}{\square}=\dfrac{3.2}{4}$$

Numerator of $$\frac{3.2}{4}$$, is multiplied by $$2.5$$ to get $$8$$
So we multiply denominator, $$4$$ as well by $$2.5$$

$$\dfrac{8}{10}=\dfrac{3.2}{4}$$

$$\therefore \textbf{The missing number is 10}$$
