Question

Find the ratio of:
$$9m$$ to $$27cm$$

Solution
Verified by Toppr

To find the ratios, both quantities should be in same unit
$$9m$$ to $$27cm$$
$$\Rightarrow$$ $$9\times 100cm$$ to $$27cm$$ ($$\because$$ $$1m=100cm$$)
$$\Rightarrow$$ $$900cm$$ to $$27cm$$
Thus the ratio is $$=\cfrac{900}{27}=\cfrac{100}{3}=100:3$$
