Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given equation is ax2+(a1)x+3=a
The equation can be written as
ax2+(a1)x+3a=0
Since x=0.5 is a solution of the equation,
a(0.5)2+(a1)(0.5)+3a=0
0.25a+0.5a0.5+3a=0
(0.25+0.51)a0.5+3=0
0.25a+2.5=0
0.25a=2.5
a=2.50.25
a=10
