Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given that,
The diameter of the base of a cone is 42 cm and its height is 20 cm.
Also, 1 cm3 of the material which the cone is made of weights 5 grams.

To find out,
The weight of the cone.

We know that, volume of a cone =13πr2h
Here, r=422=21 cm and h=20 cm

Hence, volume =13×227×(21)2×20[ π=227]

=22×21×21×2021

=22×21×20

=9240 cm3

Volume =9240 cm3

Now, weight of 1 cm3=5 grams
Hence, weight of 9240 cm3=9240×5 grams
=46200 grams

We know that, 1000 grams=1 kg

Hence, 46200 grams=462001000 kg

=46.2 kg

Hence, the weight of the given solid cone is 46.2 kg.
