Solution

Consider the figure,

Given, LAX=(3x+5)
ACR=(2x+5)
APR=(y+20)
YRH=(y+10)

LAX=CAR=(3x+5) -------Vertically opposite angles
YRH=ARC=(y+10)-------Vertically opposite angles

In ACR
ACR+CAR+CRA=180
(2x+5)+(3x+5)+(y+10)=180

5x+y+20=180 -----------(i)

ARP=CAR=(3x+5) -------Alternate angles
RAP=ARC=(y+10)-------Alternate angles

In APR
APR+ARP+RAP=180
(y+20)+(3x+5)+(y+10)=180

3x+2y+35=180 -----------(ii)

Solving (i) and (ii)

x=25 and y=35

Option E
