Depletion of plants and animals:
(a) The species of plant and animal are decreasing very fast in India. In the last few decades, vegetation has reduced. Some species of Medicinal herbs are also becoming extinct.
(b) Increasing population and growing industries are directly or indirectly leading to the depletion of plant and animal life.
(c) Roads, railways, agriculture, houses, industrial projects and hydroelectric projects are being developed in the areas of biodiversity. This has led to depletion of plants and animals and is also destroying the entire ecosystem.
