Question

Graph between output current $$(I_c)$$ and input current $$(I_B)$$ for common emitter of $$n-p-n$$ transistor is given in the figure.if input resistance is $$100 k\Omega$$. Find the out voltage gain and power gain are

A
$$2\times 10^4,4\times 10^5$$
B
$$3\times 10^{4},9\times 10^{6}$$
C
$$8\times 10^4,2\times 10^{6}$$
D
$$6\times 10^{4},8\times 10^{6}$$
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Correct option is A. $$2\times 10^4,4\times 10^5$$
Current gain $$(\beta)=\dfrac{\Delta I_c}{\Delta I_B}=\left(\dfrac{200-100}{10-5}\right)=\dfrac{100}{5}=20$$
Voltage gain $$(A_v)=\beta\times \dfrac{R_{out}}{R_{in}}=20\times \dfrac{100\times 10^3}{100}=20\times 10^3$$
Power gain =$$A_v\times \beta =20\times10^3\times20 =4\times 10^5$$
