The sound is produced when an object is set to vibrate or we can say that vibrating objects produce sound. The sound of the human voice is produced due to vibration in the vocal cord. We can produce sound by striking the tuning fork, by plucking, scratching, rubbing, blowing or shaking two objects. All objects produce sound due to vibration. However we can perceive these vibrations as sound only when they lie in our audible range (i.e. $$20 \ Hz$$ to $$20,000 \ Hz$$)
