If $$16$$ shirts of equal size can be made out of $$24\,m$$ of cloth, how much cloth is needed for making one shirt ?

$$\therefore\ $$ cloth required to make $$1$$ shirt $$= \dfrac{24}{16}\,m=1.5\ m$$

Hence, $$1.5\,m$$ cloth will be needed for one shirt.
